Short review:
What a fun book this is to read!
Howard Keel's stories are revealing, honest, and often hilarious. This wonderful singer, with the strongest voice ever to appear in M-G-M musicals, has told his life story with few apologies and with great warmth for the people he worked with -- and that includes the dinner and summer theatres as well as Broadway, London and Hollywood. Yes, the chapters are short and there are some errors, but that doesn't detract much from this lively book. As his wife Judy has said at the Hopalong Cassidy Festival in Cambridge, Ohio -- "This is the Real Keel!"
