This multimedia DVD is readable on computer and covers music from the landing of the Pilgrims to the last music published by the Shakers, or roughly from 1620 to about 1920.
It also contains all the lyrics and background notes for the music in a separate Word document.
Also included are two bonus features:
--Music album with 30 examples of American vocal music from the Pilgrims in the 17th century to the Shakers in the early 20th century.
--A video program:
"A Stoughton Musicfest" -- A history of America's oldest choral society and celebration of local composers and musicians.
